April 9, 2007: Illini-TEC Forum of Chicago
Put on by the University of Illinois Technology Entrepreneur Center, this event will feature panelists from Motorola, ADM, Accenture, and Innovation Management Partners. $12.
April 11, 2007: Great Chicago Networking Extravaganza
$50 gets you into Jason Jacobsohn’s event at the Mid-America Club for some high-level schmoozing and networking. It’s a nice view up in the old Standard Oil Building, trust me.
April 12, 2007: 2007 ITA CityLIGHTS Awards Gala
Awards gala at the Drake in its 8th year. $225 per ticket. Event is “black tie optional.” That means you’d better rent a tux.
April 12, 2007: TECH cocktail 4
Chicago’s favorite tech event/favorite 2.5 hour open bar. It’s gotten BIG, maybe too big. The 500 RSVP limit filled up in <24 hours.
Event is free. Email Eric or Frank and beg them for a slot. Then get drunk.
April 12, 2007: Oak Brook Entrepreneur Meetup
Modeled after the “Circle of Progress” meetup in Chicago (formerly the “Chicago Established and Emerging Entrepreneurs” meetup), this one’s worth checking out.
April 19, 2007: CIMA April DinnerBYTE: Life After the RFP
$65 event at the Chicago Athletic Club featuring Doug Weaver talks about “Life After the RFP.” No word on whether that price tag includes booze. I should hope so.
